Logging PTF Hours
When you put in any volunteer hours at the school, be sure to record them in the PTF Log Books in the Offices. If you have an elementary student at FRCS your family Log sheet will be in the Book in the Elementary Office. If you do not have en elementary student at FRCS your family log sheet will be in the Book in the MS/HS Office. It is always good to stop by and log your hours before leaving the building so you do not forget! Remember all hours must be logged by May 15, 2008
Scrip
By participating in the scrip program you can raise money for the school without breaking a sweat... and now we have made it even easier for you -- you can order scrip online. This way, you can order even when school is out!
This is how it works -- you buy "scrip" (gift certificates or cards) for your favorite merchants from your school (see a list of available vendors here or go to http://www.glscrip.com), and use the scrip in lieu of money when you shop. When you do this, the school makes a percentage, but it does not cost you a penny.
Sounds fantastic? This is what happens behind the scenes. The school (and other nonprofits) can buy the gift certificates or cards at a discounted price. You pay the face value when you buy them, and you get credit for the face value when you use them. On certain scrips the school makes as much as 25%; some others are worth only 2%. Most of them are between 5% and 10%. You have nothing to lose, as you can use scrip to pay for goods and services you routinely purchase.
You can order in one of three ways:
- E-mail frcs_ptf@yahoo.com with a list of stores and amounts you would like. Your order will be prepared and ready for you to pick up at the SCRIP table or in the office. You can pick it up in person and pay for it, or send in a check with your student and your order will be sent home with your student.
- Stop by the SCRIP table located by the stairwell on the first floor between 7:50-8:30am, Monday-Friday, 1:50-2:15 pm Wednesday, or 2:50-3:15 on Thursday.
- Using the order form you can pick up at the High School office. Your order will be filled and returned with your student.
Any questions regarding SCRIP may be emailed to frcs_ptf@yahoo.com |
