Living the Christian Life
The goal of this class is for the students to develop their knowledge of the Bible and to apply biblical knowledge to one's life experiences. Also to understand the meaning and importance of Christian character as found in the Bible, and develop and demonstrated godly character traits.
Life Science
In Life Science they are going to study living organisms and how they work. They will learn how life exists on earth, the structure of cells, genetics, be able to classify organisms, and know the major categories of plants and animals.
Math
This course is designed to aid students to become proficient in the fundamental operations of arithmetic. Topics will include comparing and ordering integers, operations with whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and mixed numbers. They will also be calculating averages and percentages, standard metric measurement usage, and applying basic geometry formulas.
United States History
Students will be exposed to the biblical worldview of history as they study the events and people that have molded our country. The study will include geography, economics, history, and the use of maps, graphs, and timelines. It is designed to study themes that tie the past and the present together. It will include a study of the U.S. Constitution.
English
A challenging and enriching environment where one can master basic grammar skills used for writing, reading, and life, as well as explore a variety of authors and literature genres.
Spanish
The Spanish classes at FRCS are a K-12 program. The emphasis in 6th grade Spanish is to develop communication skills that utilize the vocabulary they learned in elementary school.
Keyboarding
In keyboarding, students will learn how to properly type with a keyboard with speed and accuracy. They will also learn how to use Microsoft Word, be able to identify and use hardware and software properly, and be able to be a responsible computer user. |
