Seventh Grade Curriculum

Developing Christian Character
The goal of this class is for the students to develop their knowledge of the Bible and to apply biblical knowledge to one's life experiences. Also to learn practical life skills based on biblical principles and examples, and know foundational steps to successful Christian living.

Physical Science
In Physical Science, they are going to investigate how God has so creatively put his world together. They will also study the chemical building blocks of life, how chemical changes work, force and motion, energy and power, waves, sound, light, and electric charges and currents.

Math
This course is designed to aid students to become proficient in fundamental pre-algebra operations. Topics will include operations on integers, fractions, and decimals, application of averages, rations, and proportions. Also standard and metric measurement usage, geometric principles usage, and solving basic algebraic equations.

World Studies I - Ancient History
In World Studies I, students will study key political, economic, military, religious, and geographical forces that shaped our world's history.  They will learn about ancient civilizations and cultures from a Biblical worldview and be able to understand how ancient history connects to our world today.   

English
A challenging and enriching environment where one can master basic grammar skills used for writing, reading, and life as well as explore a variety of authors and genres.

Spanish
The Spanish classes at FRCS are a K-12 program. The emphasis in 7th grade Spanish is to further develop communication skills the students learned in 6th grade. The students ask and answer questions, give short presentations and develop listening skills that allow them to understand native speakers.

Computer Literacy
Students will review how to properly type with a keyboard with speed and accuracy.  They will also learn how to use Microsoft Word, be able to identify and use hardware and software properly, and be able to be a responsible computer user.
