The FRCS high school experience is one in which students and teachers interact and pursue knowledge in a close-knit learning community. Lifelong relationships are formed as students study and have fun together. The students are highly involved, participating in many academic, athletic, and social activities, which help to create well-rounded, vibrant young people.
High School Boys

Community Service
FRCS students reap the benefits of community service. Forty hours of student-selected service are required prior to graduation. Activities may include class ministry projects, food and clothing drives, missions trips, and projects sponsored by the National Honor Society and Student Council.

Summer Reading Program
Over the summer, all students are expected to read one assigned book and at least one book of their choice. This is done to promote knowledge of literature, improve vocabulary, and increase their language arts skills.

Chapel
High school meets for its own chapel service every week. Praise and worship is led by a group of high school students. Speakers include students, teachers, parents, and pastors. Once a month, a student is chosen from each class to receive a character award. A mid-year Spiritual Emphasis week with activities and services every day helps students re-focus their commitment to God. Chapel is an important part of encountering God at FRCS.

Achievement Hour
Achievement Hour is a flexible period of time for students to do homework, get tutoring from other teachers, make up tests, or go to enrichment sessions or organization meetings. Students who have low grades in a class on a progress report or report card will be sent to check in with that teacher each week until their grades rise.

Communication
In 2003, the school purchased a powerful on-line communication tool known as Edline whereby parents and students can access a wealth of school-related information such as newsletters, calendar events and class assignments. Edline also includes private grade reports, attendance information, and account statements, which are only available to the individual parent. Student-led conferences and progress reports also keep parents informed of their students’ academic progress.

Senior Year
Senior Year is exciting and busy. Senior project, the Understanding the Times Bible curriculum, and college applications make it academically challenging. Co-curricular activities such as senior debut, senior trip, Junior-Senior banquet, Baccalaureate and Commencement provide opportunities to create meaningful memories.
